Term 4 2020

I can't believe how quickly this year is going!

This term our history focus was the 'Early Islamic Civilisation' and we investigated the Islamic Golden Age and the city of Baghdad. We were amazed at the advances being made in medicine in Baghdad while England was still stuck in the middle ages.

Studying Macbeth was definitely a highlight of this term and I was incredibly proud of the children watching our class assembly. They all really enjoyed the blood and gore of Shakespeare. Interestingly, it is believed that Shakespeare wrote 'Macbeth' and 'Anthony and Cleopatra' while in isolation from the plague so you too can do something great with this time too! Unfortunately, our trip to The Globe was cancelled. However, we did manage to fit in a school screening of Macbeth with popcorn and Dominoes pizza!

I hope you are enjoying the home learning packs and I'd love to see any of the super learning that is going on in your homes.

Best wishes,

Miss Buck
