PE - Ms Wildman

Welcome back to another exciting year of PE and sport ahead!!

Just a reminder that all classes will be starting with football and netball for this term. Early Years and Yr1 may have a couple of weeks focusing on multi-skills and fundamentals to get them into the swing of things.

Please ensure pupils have all kit in school at all times and that kit is appropriate for the activity and/or weather and is all clearly named and fits.

We have after school clubs starting week commencing Monday 9th September:

  • Mondays 3-4pm Yr5&6 Football development club. I am hugely over subscribed for this club so Mon 9th is having to be a trial session where I will then cut my numbers down to the equivalent of four teams.
  • Wednesdays 3-4pm Yr3&4 Football development club. I am very excited by this new time slot and opportunity for our lower KS2 classes. Once again it is an invite only club and looking at getting pupils ready to be in the school team and enter a cluster competition at the end of the term.
  • Fridays 3-4pm. We are lucky enough to have a sports coach teaming up with me on a Friday. Mr Dawley will be teaching Early Years and Yr1 PE as well as running an after school club. I have decided that Yr2 should have priority for spaces in this club and the focus of the club will be multi-sports. This means that every week pupils may be playing different sports, ranging from archery to dodgeball, as well as being up on the field, out on the courts or in the Old Hall. If spaces are not filled by Yr2 then I will look to offer it out to Yr1 pupils and potentially Yr3 pupils. Please note that the Ark now finishes at 4pm on a Friday so all pupils will be expected to be collected promptly by an adult.

As our website is now fully functional I will endeavour to put any PE information, match information / results and any other sporting news straight onto the PE page rather than issue a PE newsletter.
