Welcome to Stonehenge Class

Term 6 2019

Welcome to the final term!  It’s going to be a busy one with lots of events to look forward to.

Our topic is entitled, ‘Outlaws’ and is based upon the legendary tales of Robin Hood.  We will be exploring the stories and linking our learning closely to our production of ‘Hoodwinked’.  The children will be using drama, storytelling and reading to bring the tales to life.  They will also be using computing, design and art to create all the props, tickets and advertising needed to put on a performance.  It should be a busy and purposeful challenge for everyone.

Elsewhere in the curriculum, the children will be applying their mathematical skills to as many different real-life problems as we can think of.  In sport, the children will be practising for Sports Week with a range of different athletic activities.

The BLP value for the term is reflectiveness and the children will be reflecting back upon their achievements and memories of primary school.  They will also begin to look forward to their next steps and consider their long-term goals.
