Welcome to Woodhenge Class

Term 4

Term 4 has not ended as we expected it to do so but we hope you have had a super Easter. We will be going back to the learning packs for Term 5 after the break.

Looking back at the term, our geography topic was Rivers, in particular the River Nile. We looked at how the river was used both in the past, linking to our previous topic of Ancient Egypt, and the present day. Some of you found some interesting facts that you shared with the class.

Our class story, which we also used to support our English work, was The Secret of the Sun King by Emma Carroll, this again linked to our work on Ancient Egypt. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we were unable to finish the story in class. We were wondering if the children did manage to return the canopic jar to Egypt or did Lil's grandad suffer the same fate as Professor Hanawati? If you get the chance to read the story can you let us know.

We hope you are enjoying your home learning packs and we would love to see any of the super learning that is going on in your homes. Don't forget to have a go at the challenges to help keep things fun.

Stay in and keep safe
